CARL files lawsuits Challenging decisions against private schools by Sierra Leone’s Ministry of Education

Freetown, 5^th October, 2015 – The Centre for Accountability and Rule of Law (CARL) in September filed a lawsuit on behalf of the Leone Preparatory School seeking a judicial review of the Ministry of Education’s order in July that the school be closed. The suit was filed with the High Court of Sierra Leone pursuant to Order 52 of the High Court Rules 2007. The applicant is the Leone Preparatory School. The respondents are the Minister of Education and the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice.
